About

Hi, I’m Angela and I’m a devoted classic film fan from Detroit.  I’ve been around classic films for most of my life, but I didn’t start really getting interested in them until I was 14 years old.  By 2005, my status as a classic film addict was fully cemented and I love being part of the classic film fan community.  My favorite types of classic films include silents, pre-codes, musicals, film noir, comedy, and 1960s European films.  I’m also quite fond of super campy B-movies.  Some of my favorite stars include: Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, Buster Keaton, Lillian Gish, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, Lana Turner, Jean Harlow, Myrna Loy, and William Powell.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Television Production.  While I was at school learning how to produce TV shows and movies, I realized that I also have a great love for writing about movies.  After being out of school for a while, I really started to miss writing about movies so I started my blog, The Hollywood Revue.  I primarily focus on movies from movies ranging from the silent era through the 1970s.  Although I may occasionally foray into the world of more modern movies if I feel like it.
